Inventory Planning Controller, Heathrow, TMG
• An opportunity exists to join the Inventory Management team, responsible for managing Engineering’s aircraft inventory. As an IPC you will ensure on time delivery, within budget through consistent and robust supplier management within a culture of data driven process improvement.

Requirements

Job Purpose
• To plan all material requirements for fully scoped maintenance inputs across the engineering business in the most effective and economical way.
• Root cause analysis for unplanned requirements, and support of resulting recovery action.
• To ensure excellent and consistent supplier performance through fully defined contracts, robust adherence to supplier management processes and deliver data driven performance improvement.

Responsibilities

Inventory Management
• Static data management including; set up and ownership of all material master data, initial provisioning, float control, safety stocks, re-order levels and interchangeability where approved data exists.
• Provide support to the Operations Team in relation to the actioning of quotes, scrap and other associated activities.
• Ensuring compliance with Engineering Policy, Statutory Airworthiness requirements, Safety Standards, Company Standing Instructions and Health and Safety Legislation.
• Determine and implementing strategies for the repair cycle of aircraft and tooling components.
• Drive out surplus and obsolete inventory.
• Create and manage budgets ensuring total cost of ownership without impacting service levels.
• Planning for Line Station requirements.
• Plan and manage the material to support aircraft and programme modifications.
• Problem resolution through root cause analysis techniques (Lean Six Sigma).
• Drive down manual transactional activity through system automation.
• Adhere to all local procedures to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards.

Suppliers and Customers
• Evaluate potential suppliers and take responsibility for subsequent sourcing decisions.
• Accountable for the performance management of suppliers, and the collation of performance measures.
• Initiate supplier recovery action plans where performance is below BA standards.
• Effective use of contracts, and the enforcement of remedies, to drive performance improvement and behaviour change.
• Effective management of warranty control and recoveries.
• Ensure the continued improvement of product performance and reliability.
• Support customer relationships and revenue generation.
